About the Chippewa Valley Community Chorus
Founded in 1978 by passionate community members, the Chippewa Valley Community Chorus began as a place where people could come together to make music and build connection. More than 50 years later, that spirit is still alive — and stronger than ever.
Originally dedicated to performing classical masterworks like Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi’s Gloria, our repertoire has grown to reflect the diverse voices and stories of our community. Today, we sing everything from timeless choral pieces to Broadway favorites, original works by local composers, and even iconic 80s rock anthems. No matter the genre, our goal remains the same: to use music as a bridge that brings people together.
Our chorus isn’t just about those on stage — it’s about everyone in the room. Sharing music means creating space for all to feel seen, heard, and valued. We believe our concerts should reflect the full spectrum of our community, embracing people of every gender, race, religion, age, background, and musical ability. If you’re here, you belong.
We choose music that tells the stories of our neighbors, our families, and our shared experiences. Through song, we discover what connects us — not what divides us. That’s the heart of community: finding common ground and celebrating it together.
In CVCC, we remain committed to our founding mission — creating unity through music. And we look forward to continuing that journey for many years to come.
Leadership
